Turkey launches space satellite GÖKTÜRK-1
Turkey launched the GÖKTÜRK-1 satellite on Dec. 5 to provide high-definition satellite images for both civilian and military purposes, the Turkish Chief of Staff announced.

Turkey's indigenous helicopter to be equipped with locally-made missiles
Turkey's new locally-built advanced attack and tactical reconnaissance helicopter ATAK will be equipped with UMTAS, a long range air-to-surface anti-tank missile developed by Turkey's ROKETSAN, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Nov. 23.
Test firing has already commenced, according to the report.

Anka carries out first missionary flight
Anka, an unmanned aerial vehicle developed by the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), carried out its debut missionary flight in the eastern province of Elaz?? on Feb. 5.
Taking off from Elaz?? Airport, Anka ("Phoenix" in English) ascended to an altitude of 19,000 feet to carry out a four-hour exploration and observation flight.
