Russia's healthcare regulator on May 13 ordered a stop to the use of ventilators believed to have caused two fires at coronavirus hospitals that left six people dead.

The federal regulator Roszdravnadzor "has halted the use on Russian territory of... Aventa-M ventilators produced from April 1, 2020" by a Urals factory, part of the state conglomerate Rostec.

Turkey has said that a U.S. House of Representatives' resolution condemning Ankara's purchase of Russian defense systems and urging potential sanctions was unacceptably threatening.

Russia intends to complete the delivery of its S-400 surface-to-air missile systems to Turkey by the end of this year, Rostec CEO Sergei Chemezov reportedly said at the 14th IDEX-2019 international defense show on Monday, according to Russian state-run news agency TASS.

The head of Russia's strategic defense industry corporation Rostec says Moscow is ready to sell S-400 air defense systems to any nation that feels insecure and wants to seal its airspace, including the US if it wants to.

Russia will supply Turkey with four S-400 surface-to-air missile divisions for $2.5 billion under a deal that is almost finalised, Sergei Chemezov, head of Russian state conglomerate Rostec, told the Kommersant daily on Dec. 27.

Russia is closing in on a deal with Turkey to supply its latest S-400 air-defense system to Ankara, Moscow said June 3, in the latest sign of restored ties.     

Russia’s S-400 long-range air defense missile system is most likely to be selected for Turkey’s long-range anti-missile shield, Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Işık has said.

“Russia’s S-400 missile system seems to be the most possible in discussions. Some progress was obtained in the talks, but we are not at the stage of a signature yet,” Işık said Feb. 22 in a televised interview.
