Every year on March 3rd, Bulgarians come together to celebrate their National Holiday, marking a pivotal moment in their history - the Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule. This day holds immense significance, not only as a commemoration of past struggles and triumphs but also as a symbol of national unity, resilience, and the enduring spirit of the Bulgarian people.

ON 22 September Bulgaria celebrates the 113th anniversary of the declaration of its independence.

The original of the Turnovo and the Silver Constitution, as well as the personal belongings of Petko Slaveikov will be displayed in the National Assembly. The exhibition is dedicated to 140 years from the adoption of the first Bulgarian Constitution, reports BNT. 

Boris Yeltsin's Russia was one of the first countries to recognize the southernmost state to split from Yugoslavia as "Republic of Macedonia." The Kremlin's stance back then was dictated by the misguided impression that it could revive the pan-Slavist policy of the tzars.
