"It isn't realistic for RS to become independent"
SANU President Vladimir Kostic has told the daily Danas that it is not realistic for Bosnia's Serb entity, the Serb Republic (RS), to become independent.
Kostic said that this "brings with it almost identical risks that, when read wrongly, and lacking 'friends', resulted in the disappearance of the Serb population from their centuries-old areas."

PM speaks about Pristina's UNESCO bid, migrant crisis
Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic says he hopes SANU President Vladimir Kostic will attend a meeting with President Nikolic and Patriarch Irinej.
Furthermore, Vucic expects the meeting to harmonize efforts on the diplomatic battle against Pristina's attempt to join UNESCO, "and efforts to preserve national interests."
SANU head defends statement about Kosovo
SANU President Vladimir Kostic has said it was "important to express an opinion also when it not suitable to the collective mind."
"I will not let someone determine what I may and not say, and what is a unique body of opinion which I need to adhere to," said Kostic in a statement for the daily Vecernje Novosti.
