At European summit, Iohannis voices support for implementation of Digital Single Market objectives

At the European Council meeting in Brussels on Friday, Romania's President Klaus Iohannis reaffirmed support for the implementation of the Digital Single Market objectives.

Over half of all enterprises are in the red

At least 56 percent of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are now in debt due to low liquidity and high borrowing, a combination that forbids them from meeting their short-term obligations. Only a fraction have a chance of having their debt restructured, which means that sooner or later they will follow the fate of many of their peers and be forced to shut down.

EBRD and Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce join forces to support businesses in Turkey's south-east

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce (GCC) have said they are joining forces to support and encourage entrepreneurship in the south-eastern Turkish city of Gaziantep and its surrounding region, in a written statement late on Feb. 23. 

New Operational Program in Bulgaria to Improve SME's Access to External Financing

Bulgarian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will be able to access EUR 102 M from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under a new operational program, "SME Initiative."

The project of the operational program, which seeks to boost the competitiveness of SMEs, is available online at the public consultation portal, according to reports of investor.bg.
