Vesic: High-speed rail line to Budapest to be completed by 2025

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesic met with Hungarian counterpart Janos Lazar in Belgrade on Tuesday.

Vesic said a high-speed rail line between Belgrade and Budapest would be completed by 2025 and that it had been agreed that trains would not have to stop at the border.

Serbia Confirms First Case of Coronavirus

As numbers of coronavirus cases rise throughout Europe, Serbia has confirmed its first - a 43-year-old male who has often been to Hungary.

Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar said the man was currently quarantined in hospital in Subotica, near the Hungarian border, where he had reported himself after feeling ill. His condition is not seen as alarming.

Severe accident in Subotica: There are dead and injured

The accident happened at about 7.00 am, at the so-called Tavankut Crossroads.
Two people were killed and, according to the RTS, there are also injured who were transferred to the hospital in Subotica.
Traffic was diverted to alternative routes: to Ljutovo and Novi Zednik.
Traffic accident investigation is ongoing.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met on Tuesday with a delegation of the National Council of the Croat national minority in Serbia, headed by Council President Tomislav Zigmanov, to discuss concrete measures to improve the ethnic Croats' life in Serbia and establish more intensive cooperation.
