National Economy and Finance Minister Kostis Hatzidakis is planning changes to the public companies of the Superfund to make them modern and competitive, with interventions on three fronts: administration, procurement and recruitment.

After a disastrous year for railways, with the deadly Tempe collision and Storm Daniel floods, the Ministry of Transport, in collaboration with European institutions, is looking into the creation of a new public body, with the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE) as its core.

The Movement for Change characterizes the handover of the PPC from the government to the private interests, in a comment of its Press Office, concerning the announcement of the increase of the share capital of the company. It points out that this is happening at a time when rising energy prices are threatening households and businesses.

Perhaps the most historic project of the recent years was signed a short while ago. The investment of Hellinikon Project was signed and got off the ground just a few hours ago, after 7 years of waiting and almost 20 years from the day the old airport of Athens stopped operating.
