Most Serbians would not accept NATO apology - survey

BELGRADE - Most Serbians would not accept a NATO apology for the 1999 bombing campaign and are against their country's membership in the alliance, even though they chiefly blame the intervention on Slobodan Milosevic's policy, shows the latest survey, released by the Institute for European Affairs on Friday.

Belgrade Car Show opens

BELGRADE, March 23 (Tanjug) - Serbian Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic on Thursday ceremonially opened the 53rd international Belgrade Car Show and the 11th international MotoPassion motorcycle show, which will feature over 400 exhibitors from 30 countries.

The events, held under the slogan of The Years Go By, the Passions Never End, closes on April 2.

Pristina urged to establish Community of Serb Municipalities

BRUSSELS/PRISTINA - EU officials have urged the Kosovo government to end the delay of the establishment of the Community of Serb Municipalities, the EU Office in Kosovo said in a statement.

The statement was released after Tuesday's first meeting of a special group on normalisation as part of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the EU and the Kosovo government.

NBS: Serbian diaspora sent home 2.7 bln euros in 2016

BELGRADE - The Serbian diaspora sent home a total of 2.7 bln euros in 2016 - about 8 pct of the country's GDP, Tanjug has learned at the National Bank of Serbia (NBS).

As in previous years, most of the receipts came from Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France - countries with sizable Serbian diasporas.

Lajovic through to Miami main draw, to face Anderson

MIAMI - Serbia's Dusan Lajovic is through to the main draw of the Miami Masters tennis tournament after beating Argentine Nicolas Kicker 6-4, 6-3 in the second qualifying round.

In the opening round, Lajovic will play world number 74 Kevin Anderson of South Africa in what will be their first-ever encounter.
