Turkey’s TAV takes over ops at Almaty Airport
Prominent Turkish airport operator TAV Airports has taken over operations at Almaty Airport, Kazakhstan's main and busiest aviation hub.
The airport's capacity will be doubled with a $200 million investment to build a new international terminal, the operator said in a statement on April 30.
The investment is planned to be completed in less than three years.

France's ADP to buy additional stake in Turkey's TAV Airports for $160 million, eyeing expansion in new markets
Turkey's Akfen has said it signed an agreement on June 9 to sell its remaining 8.12 percent stake in TAV Airports to France's Aeroports de Paris (ADP) for $160 million.
The French company plans to expand into new markets in the Middle East, Central Asia, Europe and Africa as well as new areas within Turkey along with TAV, according to company representatives.
Turkey's TAV adds two more airports to its portfolio in Saudi Arabia
Turkey's TAV Airports has announced that it has included the Qassim and Hail airports in Saudi Arabia to its portfolio, which also includes airports in Madinah and Yanbu.
TAV, with its partner the Al Rajhi Group, will develop the two airports and operate them for 30 years, according to the statement issued on April 24.
