Elon Musk on May 16 said a new Twitter chief executive will let him devote more time to Tesla, but that he will continue to tweet his unfiltered thoughts even if it hurts his businesses.

"I don't care," the billionaire said during a CNBC interview when asked what he thought of his controversial tweets potentially hurting Tesla shares or making it harder to sell ads on Twitter.

Chinese safety regulators have ordered Tesla to recall 1.1 million vehicles because drivers might step on the accelerator for too long, increasing the risk of a crash.

The State Administration for Market Regulation said in a notice that the recall involves imported Model S, X and 3 models as well as the Chinese-made Models Y and 3.

In late March, more than 1,000 technology leaders, researchers and other pundits working in and around artificial intelligence signed an open letter warning that AI technologies present "profound risks to society and humanity."

Togg aims to deliver more than 1,000 vehicles in May, says Gürcan Karakaş, the CEO of Türkiye's first indigenous electric car maker.

"We will deliver more cars in June," Karakaş told private broadcaster Bloomberg HT, adding that a total of 28,000 will be delivered by the end of the year.

The U.S electric car maker Tesla has scheduled first deliveries of its vehicles for Turkish customers in May.

The company started to collect pre-orders for vehicles on April 4. Tesla will sell three versions of its Model Y in Türkiye.

 A nine-person jury was seated Tuesday to hear a trial that will determine whether Tesla CEO Elon Musk cheated investors by asserting in 2018 tweets that he had lined up financing to take the electric automaker private.

Elon Musk, the CEO of electric car giant Tesla, will face trial on Tuesday over allegedly manipulating the stock market with a tweet after a federal judge rejected his request to move the case out of California.    

The case dates back to August 2018 when Musk tweeted that he had sufficient funding to take Tesla private, causing a whirlwind in the company's share price.
