Turkish defense firms 'deployed' in Qatar for better trade

Currently engaged in wide-ranging military cooperation that expands from operations against ISIL to training soldiers together, Turkey and Qatar are now looking to further tighten defense-industry ties, as dozens of Turkish defense companies flocked to Doha on Oct. 6 to display their new products.

Turkey to open first satellite test center

Turkey is to open its first satellite assembly and test center on May 21, according to a statement from the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI).

The Spacecraft Assembly, Integration and Test Center, located northwest of Ankara, in Kazan, will initially test the Göktürk-1 satellite, a civil and military observation satellite to be launched in November.

Turkish Aerospace Industries to produce new body part for Airbus A320

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has reached an agreement with European aeronautics giant Airbus to produce another body part for the jet maker's A320 planes. 

TAI, which has been manufacturing Section 18 fuselage panels for the A320 family as a single source supplier since 2014, will now produce the body part Section 19 as well. 

Son of Turkey’s aviation association head receives 1 mln liras as ‘consultancy’

Emre Yıldırım, son of the Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK) Chair Osman Yıldırım, has denied the allegations of receiving 1 million Turkish Liras as a bribe, claiming he received the money for the “consultancy” service he provided to the association.

Local aircraft set to mark Aug 30 parade
