Erdoğan, Macron discuss Russia’s invasion of Ukraine
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on Feb. 25 discussed Russia's military intervention in Ukraine in a phone call, a statement by the communications directorate said.
According to the announcement made after the call, the two leaders addressed Russia's military intervention in Ukraine and the latest developments.
Turkish soldier killed in northern Iraq
A Turkish soldier has been killed in northern Iraq, the National Defense Ministry said late on July 26.
"During a road patrol in the Hakurk region, one soldier was killed in an attack by the PKK terror group," the ministry said in a statement.

Turkish jets 'neutralize' 2 PKK terrorists in northern Iraq
At least two PKK terrorists were "neutralized" in northern Iraq, the Turkish National Defense Ministry said on July 11.
The terrorists were "neutralized" in an operation by the Turkish Armed Forces in the Gara region, the ministry said on Twitter.
Turkish authorities use the word "neutralize" to imply the terrorists in question surrendered or were killed or captured.
Turkey neutralizes 3 PKK/YPG terrorists in northern Syria
Turkish security forces neutralized at least three YPG/PKK terrorists in northern Syria, near the Turkish border, who were preparing an attack, the Turkish National Defense Ministry said on June 27.
Turkish commandos neutralized two terrorists in the Operation Peace Spring region and another in the Operation Euphrates Shield area, the ministry said on Twitter.
Turkish, Greek defense ministries' talks end
Turkish and Greek delegations from defense ministries concluded negotiations to improve bilateral cooperation, the Turkish National Defense Ministry announced on Feb. 20.
The meetings, which began on Feb. 17 in Athens, primarily focused on confidence and security-building precautions, as well as developing mutual cooperation, the ministry said on Twitter.

Russian S-400 hardware deployment continues: Defense Ministry
Delivery of S-400 missile systems is continuing, Turkish National Defense Ministry said on July 13.
"Delivery of S-400 Long Range Air and Missile Defense Systems resumed today. The fourth Russian plane carrying S-400 parts landed at Mürted Airport outside Ankara," the ministry said on Twitter.
More than 40 militants 'neutralized' in Operation Claw
A total of 43 PKK militants were neutralized in 'Operation Claw' since May 27, the Turkish National Defense Ministry said on June 8 on Twitter.
A total of 74 shelters and 53 mines used by PKK militants in the Hakurk region were also destroyed, according to the ministry.
