Athens not concerned by Turkish drillship mission
Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar has announced a new mission in the Mediterranean of the Abdulhamid Han drillship, which is the latest addition to the Turkish Petroleum Company's (TPAO) exploration fleet.
Given that it will operate within an area of Turkish jurisdiction, Athens is not concerned, and it will not affect the Greek-Turkish rapprochement.

Lukewarm reaction to EU sanctions on Turkey
A first discussion will take place Wednesday in Brussels regarding a number of EU sanctions on Turkey following a call by Cyprus for EU solidarity after Turkish drilling activities off Cyprus.
The measures will likely be agreed Wednesday at a meeting of EU envoys and aproved by EU foreign ministers when they meet in Brussels next week.

Second Turkish drillship arrives off Cyprus
A second Turkish drillship arrived on Monday off the coast of Cyprus, just south of the Karpasia (Kaspas) peninsula.
Just before midnight, Turkey issued NAVTEX 765/19, according to which Yavuz will drill until September 30 with the help of three supporting vessels, "VOS PRIME," "VOS PRINCE" and "POSH SINCERE."

Cyprus takes legal action against firms encroaching its EEZ
Cyprus has initiated legal proceedings against three companies involved in gas drilling by Turkey to the west of the island for encroaching on the island's continental shelf, a senior Foreign Ministry official said on Tuesday. Officials declined to name the companies, but said they were not Turkish.
Turkish ship to begin drilling for gas in Eastern Mediterranean
The Turkish drillship Fatih was to set sail on Thursday from the Gulf of Izmit for the eastern Mediterranean to begin exploration for oil and gas.
The state-run Turkish Petroleum company said that the first stop by the Fatih - formerly known as DeepSea Metro-II - will be Antalya on the southwestern coast of Turkey, but it did not clarify where exactly it intends to start drilling.
Turkey’s first drilling ship passes Gallipoli
Turkey’s first ever drilling ship, the Deepsea Metro II, passed the straits of te northwestern province of Gallipoli on Dec. 29, the Turkish Petroleum Company said.
