You can't eat there or collect your meal. But so-called ghost kitchens, which only prepare food for delivery, are booming in the United States during the pandemic.
Don't look for a Firebelly Wings or a Monster Mac restaurant anywhere in America because you won't find their signs on any street.
Uber, Lyft, similar platforms coming to Slovenia
Brdo pri Kranju – The government has approved a proposal to amend the road transport act which introduces legal basis for digital labour platforms, such as Uber. The proposal sets down that drivers via these gig economy companies would need to get a licence. The amendments would also abolish mandatory use of taximeters for taxi drivers.

Beat challenges Spirtzis law at Competition Commission
Ride-hailing company Beat has asked the Competition Commission for its opinion on the previous government's ban on companies of its type, as it says the provisions of the law brought by former transport minister Christos Spirtzis exclusively concern the activities of Beat given the departure of Uber from Greece.
Supermarkets playing catch-up

Electric scooters draw angry reaction of taxi drivers
The taxi drivers in Istanbul, who forced the banning of ride-share application Uber, now target Martı, a Turkish rental scooter application.
Some taxi drivers claim on the social media that the electric scooters are extremely dangerous and occupy the roads, while others complain that the owners of Martı application do not make a similar payment while the cab owners paid license fees.
Uber ceases operations in Colombia
Uber announced on Jan. 11 it will cease operations in Colombia beginning Feb. 1.
The decision comes after the Colombian Superintendence of Industry and Trade ordered the platform last month to stop engaging in unfair competition practices.

Former Uber CEO Kalanick severs ties with ride-hailing giant
Travis Kalanick, who built Uber into a ride-hailing giant, only to be ousted as CEO over the company's sexist "bro" culture, is cashing out.
Kalanick disclosed on Dec. 24 that he has sold off all his Uber stock — estimated at more than $2.5 billion — and is resigning from the board of directors, severing ties to the company he co-founded a decade ago.
A Google Engineer Accused of Stealing Trade Secrets Sold to Uber
A former Google engineer has been accused of stealing trade secrets from the company, which he then sold to Uber, the Associated Press reported.
