Bulgarian PM Borisov Dismissed the Idea of Reducing VAT
The government closes the subject of a reduction in value added tax (VAT). The talks are being terminated because they contradict one of the points in the coalition agreement between GERB and the United Patriots, namely that within the mandate of this government tax laws should not change. This was announced by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov after today's Coalition Council.

" Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Krasimir Karakachanov said during his visit to Rousse. The recent case, with a Bulgarian citizen arrested and convicted in Austria, is proof of this in his view.
Bulgarian Cabinet Mixes Old Hands and Surprises
Bulgaria's new government, a coalition between Boyko Borissov's centre-right party GERB and the nationalist United Patriots, assumed office on Thursday after it was voted in by the National Assembly.
MPs backed the Borissov-led cabinet with 133 votes in favour, 101 against and no abstentions.

Boyko Borisov Says Coalitional Agreement Guarantees Stable Ruling
After GERB and the United Patriots has signed the coalitional agreement and President Radev had handed over to future PM Boyko Borisov the mandate for the constituting of the new government, the latter commented that the agreement guaranteed stable rule, BNR reported.
The document envisages a cabinet of one pm, four vice premiers and 17 ministers with decisions made with consensus.
