Victoria’s Secret pays $8.3 mn settlement to sacked Thai workers

More than a thousand sacked Thai garment workers who made bras at a factory supplying lingerie giant Victoria's Secret have received a landmark $8.3 million settlement, labour rights activists said on May 28.

Brilliant Alliance Thai closed down its Samut Prakan factory in March 2021 after going bankrupt.

Former Victoria's Secret chief executive and marketing director, Edward Razek, has regularly made unwanted sexual advances toward the company's models, and harassed and bullied staff members, including models of the well-known brand, the New York Times reports.

Several models have admitted to the press that Ed forced them into intimate contact under the threat of dismissal.

Turkish writer Metin Hara who was seen together with Brazilian top model Adriana Lima on July 10 denied claims that their relationship was a "publicity stunt" on his official social media account on July 13.

Hara, 35, and the Victoria's Secret angel were first spotted by the media while the two were passionately kissing in Atatürk International Airport in Istanbul on July 10.

Turkish writer Metin Hara has confirmed that he is in a romantic relationship with Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima, best known as a Victoria's Secret angel.

Hara and Lima were spotted while passionately kissing in Atatürk International Airport in Istanbul by reporters on July 10.
