Wizz Air announced today that, as a result of the national travel restrictions imposed, from 18 March 2020, the airline will suspend all its flights from Bulgaria to Spain by 3 April 2020.

Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced today that, as a result of the travel restrictions imposed on all foreign flights announced by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki  effective as of 00:00 HRS March 15, 2020, the airline has suspended all its flights to and from Poland until further notice. 

Wizz Air announced today that it is immediately stopping its flights to Milan, Treviso and Bergamo due to the blockage of the northern Italian region in an attempt to control the coronavirus outbreak. This was reported by the carrier's press center.

Flights from Sofia and Varna to Milan Bergamo will be completely stopped by April 3.

Wizz Air, the largest low-cost carrier in Central and Eastern Europe, announced today that due to a declining trend in search for flights to Italy caused by the outbreak of the coronavirus, the carrier will change its flight schedule.

The low-cost carrier Wizz Air announced that it launches two new routes from Sofia to Billund (Denmark) and London Gatwick (UK).

Flights to Denmark will start from 3 June and will be operated twice a week - on Wednesday and Sunday. Billund is famous because of the Lego Company (founded there in 1932)

Wizz Air was notified of a planned national strike by air traffic management in Italy on 25 October 2019. As a result, there may be a delay or change in Wizz Air flights to / from Italy throughout the day (tomorrow, 25 October).

Thirty-five Bulgarians are at Frankfurt Airport after failing to depart a regular Wizz Air flight at 3.10pm.

They claim that the airline and the airport authorities are to blame for the delay, which has preceded the situation, and for now, Wizz Air refuses to provide them with new tickets for a future flight to their homeland.
