World Bank's IFC invests $1.8 billion in Turkey

IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, has said it had a fourth consecutive record year in Turkey, investing $1.8 billion to support sustainable energy and infrastructure development, improve municipal services, promote local capital markets and help Turkish companies increase competitiveness and impact, in a written statement on Sept. 26. 

World Bank approves $100 million in financing to create 100,000 jobs for Jordanians, Syrian refugees

Aiming to create 100,000 new jobs for Jordanians and Syrian refugees in the next five years, the World Bank's Board of Directors has agreed to offer Jordan $100 million in financing at rates usually reserved for the poorest countries, World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim announced on March 27.

Bulgaria Received USD 830 M in Remittances from Turkey in 2014

Bulgarian migrants working in Turkey sent some USD 830 M (EUR 732 M) back home in 2014, much more than the sum flowing from the next "top 11" countries in the list combined, data from the TIME magazine shows.
