Turkey to continue protecting rights in E Med: National Security Council

Turkey will continue to decisively protect its rights in the Eastern Mediterranean, Aegean and Cyprus, the country's National Security Council declared on Jan. 28. 

Underlining that these rights arise from international law, the council said in a statement that Turkey condemned rising terror attacks in Africa, including Somalia, as well as various other regions.

Defence ministers of Germany, Portugal, Slovenia discuss EU presidency

Ljubljana – The defence ministers of Germany, Portugal and Slovenia held an online meeting on Thursday at the initiative of Germany’s Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer to exchange views on the German six-month stint at the helm of the European Council and discuss the priorities for next year, when Portugal and Slovenia will take over successively.

Romania needs to focus on more intense collaboration with countries on the African continent, Prime Minister Viorica Dancila said on Monday in a message on Africa Day.

Deputy Prime Minister for Implementation of Romania's Strategic Partnerships Ana Birchall read the message at a reception extended to the members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Bucharest.
