Austria Has Sent Back 52 Migrants to Bulgaria This Year, Sofia Says
Bulgaria's State Agency for Refugees said on Thursday that a total of 52 people have been sent back to the country by the Austrian authorities this year, BGNES reported.
Austrian Chancellor Faymann says Dublin 2 Accord needs reform
Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann expressed the view that the decisions reached by the EU leaders during Wednesday’s emergency meeting in Brussels on the refugee-migrant crisis, could be the starting point of the revision of the Dublin 2 Accord, which provides that the first country refugees enter is solely responsible for processing their asylum applications.
Austria "to send refugees back to Slovenia and Croatia"
Austria said it would send back refugees who enter the country from the Croatia and Slovenia, pointing out that "Europe needs a sustainable asylum system."
Minister of Internal Affairs of Austria Johanna Mikl-Leitner said that Croatia and Slovenia are "safe countries" and that migrants who pass through them without seeking asylum will be returned there.
Orban: If fence is unpopular, we'll let migrants pass
Hungary will either protect its "green border" with fences - or, "if this option is not so popular," it could let migrants travel to Austria and Germany.
This is what Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said early this morning in Brussels, adding that migrants "continue to arrive via Greece."
Bulgarian Artists Will be in Focus of First Edition of Vienna Contemporary Fair
The works of more than fifty Bulgarian artists will be in the focus of the first edition of the Vienna Contemporary fair, which is taking place in the Austrian capital between Thursday and Sunday.
The Vienna Contemporary will exhibit works from 99 galleries, representing 25 countries ranging from Austria to East and West.
CHP leader to embark on hectic European tour
As part of his campaign for the Nov. 1 snap election, the leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP), Kemal K?l?çdaro?lu, will gather with Turkish citizens during consecutive visits to six European countries, where he will also meet top European politicians in order to discuss the growing refugee crisis the EU has encountered.
