Migrants sew lips in Greek-Macedonia border protest
At least five migrants stuck on the Greek-Macedonian border on Monday sewed their lips in protest at not being allowed to continue their journey to Europe, AFP reporters said.
Turkey expresses 'sorrow' over executions in Bangladesh
The Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Nov. 22 that it felt "sorrow" over the execution of two opposition leaders in "brother Bangladesh," calling for national reconciliation.
"Turkey, a country that abolished capital punishment, preserves its belief that execution is not a way to heal past wounds," the ministry said in a press release.

Turkey moves down five places in global gender gap rankings
Turkey has moved down five places, ranking 130th among 145 countries, in the "Global Gender Gap Index" released annually by the World Economic Forum, despite a slight increase in its scores.
The report measures gender gap by evaluating data in four areas: economic participation and opportunity, access to education, political empowerment and health and survival.
