Turkey sets out rules for new phase in normalization
Turkey has set out rules for a new normalization phase as the country will further ease COVID-19 restrictions later this week.
Turkey further relaxing COVID-19 restrictions as of Thursday
Turkey on June 27 announced further easing of COVID-19 restrictions from July 1 as part of a gradual normalization from the outbreak.
According to a circular issued by the Interior Ministry, curfews will be fully scrapped and intercity travel restrictions will end as of Thursday.
Romania updates list of countries in COVID-19 red, yellow, green areas
Romania's National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU) updated on Friday its list of countries or areas with high COVID-19 epidemiological risk. "The classification of the countries/areas by the cumulative rate of COVID-19 cases in order to sort the persons arriving in Romania accordingly and subject them to quarantine is hereby approved," reads CNSU Decision 39.

Greece Wants to Speed up Repatriation of Asylum Seekers to Safe Turkey
Turkey is a safe country for most asylum seekers now housed on Greek islands, Greece's migration ministry has said, as Athens seeks to speed up repatriations to its eastern neighbour.
According to a 2016 agreement between the European Union and Turkey, the latter should take back Syrian refugees from Greece if they do not face serious risks in Turkey.
Greece says migrants in Turkey could seek asylum there
Greece on June 7 announced that applications for asylum filed by individuals in Turkey will no longer be accepted.
"Turkey is designated a safe country for asylum seekers from Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Somalia," said a joint decision by the Greek Foreign Ministry as well as the Migration and Asylum Ministry.
North Macedonia Busts Migrant-Smuggling Ring
North Macedonia's police searched 11 premises in the capital Skopje and in the towns of Veles, Stip, Strumica and Valandovo on Wednesday, arresting six suspected members of a migrant-smuggling group.
Three more suspects are still being sought, police said.
