The UN Security Council has decided to convene a rare special emergency session of the UN General Assembly on Russia's attack on Ukraine. It will take place today.
The press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Anatoly Glaz, announced that the delegations of Russia and Ukraine are expected to arrive at the place of negotiations in Belarus.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's announcement that his nuclear forces were on alert sparked outcry in the West as the invading troops faced stiff resistance on Feb. 28. 

Ljubljana – The Slovenian Olympic Committee on Saturday called on all sports associations to refrain from participating in competitions organised in Russian and Belarus, after International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach called for a boycott of competitions in the two countries.

Ljubljana – President Borut Pahor has welcomed the announcement by Kyiv that Ukraine and Russia will hold talks at Ukraine’s border with Belarus, without preconditions. “We wish that step by step, they resolve the dispute in a peaceful manner,” he wrote on Twitter.

"Deadly weapon" arrives in Ukraine tomorrow

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has rejected Moscow's offer to start peace negotiations in Belarus, instead, pointing at Istanbul, Warsaw, Bratislava, Budapest or Baku for talks.

"Warsaw, Bratislava, Budapest, Istanbul, Baku. We proposed all of them," Zelensky said on Feb. 27 in an address posted online.

Street fighting raged in Ukraine's second-biggest city on Sunday after Russian forces pierced through Ukrainian lines, as both sides said they were ready for talks to halt a conflict that has forced an estimated 260,000 people to flee their homes.

A Russian delegation has arrived in Belarus for talks with Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Reuters, citing the Interfax news agency.

Peskov said the delegation included representatives of Russia's foreign and defense ministries, as well as representatives of President Vladimir Putin's administration.

"Bulgaria strongly supports tough sanctions in response to Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, including sanctions against the Security Council of the Russian Federation and President Putin."

"Bulgarian Posts" temporarily suspends the acceptance of postal items for Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Russia from February 26, 2022. This was announced by the press center of the company.

The reason is the military action in Ukraine and the cancellation of flights of airlines.
