Thunderstorms, Heavy Rains Hit Balkan States in Early September
Torrential rains and gale force winds, thunderstorms and in some places hail, have hit the Balkans in the beginning of September, local media outlets reported, Tuesday.
Code Orange and Code Red warnings have been issued in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Croatia due to the potentially dangerous weather.
MICT Prosecutor Jallow to arrive in Serbia on Sunday
THE HAGUE - Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals (MICT) Prosecutor Hassan Bubacar Jallow will arrive in Serbia on Sunday on an official visit, and then proceed to Sarajevo and Zagreb.
On September 9, Jallow will travel from Belgrade to Sarajevo, and then to Zagreb on September 12, the MICT's press office stated in a release on Tuesday.

French Ambassador Leaves Bosnia by Bike
French Ambassador Roland Gilles ended his four-year tenure in Bosnia by leaving Sarajevo on his bike on September 1, aiming to send a political message through sport.
Instead of going by car or plane, the ambassador's unusual choice of a two-wheeled vehicle also provided a platform for local cyclists to advocate for better cycling infrastructure.

Hundreds of Bosnian Pupils Fail to Start School
Several dozen children from Vrbanjci near Banja Luka in Republika Srpska did not start school on September 1 due to their parents' boycott of the school system which does not allow Bosniaks to have their own curriculum at the local school uses the Serbian-language teaching programme.

ROMANIANS AT MONGOL RALLY Team Mamaliga Warriors crosses the finish line
Team Mamaliga Warriors crossed the finish line of the Mongol Rally, the world's largest charity rally, at the weekend, and returned to Romania.
MamaligaWarriors is one of two Romanian teams that embarked on the rally. Team Dracula Khan, the second one crossed the finish line on August 15.
Pajtic on visit to China as member of PES delegation

Sky-High Roaming Charges to Go in Balkans
Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Macedonia and Turkey have agreed to sign an agreement to scrap sky-high roaming charges in the region on September 29, Montenegro's Agency for Electronic Communications has confirmed.
