Turkish economy's problems 'still come from inside,' says leading economist
Leading economist Daron Acemo?lu said in an interview with Turkish daily Cumhuriyet that Turkey?s economic problems still come from inside, adding high liquidity in global markets helped Turkey overcome the 2001 and 2008 economic crises but the situation has now changed.

A rise in the short-term interest rate target by the Federal Reserve (Fed) could occur late on Sept. 17, and such a move would contribute to downside risks for some emerging market sovereigns, particularly those more reliant on foreign investors, said rating agency Moody?s in a research note on Sept. 17.
OECD cuts global growth outlook for 2015, 2016
The OECD cut its world economic growth forecasts for 2015 and 2016 on Sept. 16, warning of a dramatic slowdown in Brazil and a global outlook clouded by uncertainty over China.
The policy analysis club of 34 advanced economies had already slashed its economic forecasts just three months ago because of U.S. weakness.

Bulgaria Drops Three Spots in Fraser Institute's Economic Freedom Ranking
Bulgaria has descended three spots in Fraser Institute's annual Economic Freedom of the World report, ranking 42nd among 157 countries and territories - at par with the Czech Republic, Sweden and Jamaica.
This year's edition of the report is based on 2013 statistics, the most recent year for which data is available. In last year's issue of the report Bulgaria ranked 39th.
