President Rumen Radev stated in his first interview after he was sworn in that he will rely on experts in the caretaker government he intends to appoint.

BRUSSELS - Croatia and Bulgaria on Tuesday gave the official green light for the opening of Chapter 26 (education and culture) in Serbia's EU accession talks.

The Croatian and Bulgarian members of the Council of the EU working party on enlargement and candidate countries officially backed the opening of the chapter, enabling the necessary consensus on the matter.

Bulgaria's outgoing energy minister, Temenuzhka Petkova, and her Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Antic, signed a memorandum of understanding on the construction of a gas connection between the two countries in Sofia on Thursday.
