Bulgaria's heavyweight boxer Kubrat Pulev will fight against 39-year-old Ivica Perkovic in the German city of Rostock on Saturday night.

There was much drama surrounding the selection of an opponent, which frustrated Pulev. Only in the last moment was it revealed that Perkovic will go up against the undefeated Bulgarian, after a number of fighters refused a match-up.

Bulgaria Among Positive Examples for Roma Inclusion – EC President

Bulgarian town of Kavarna is a positive example in the EU for Roma inclusion, President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso said, Friday.

The Black Sea town of Kavarna was named along with Berlin (Germany), Montreuil (France) and Craiova (Romania) at the European Roma Summit dedicated to the integration of the largest minority in the EU.

Identity of Perpetrator of 2012 Burgas Bus Bombing Revealed

The identity of the perpetrator of the 2012 Burgas bus bombing has been revealed, according to Bulgarian Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov.

Tsatsarov said that he could not disclose more details about the persons related to the terror act at the Sarafovo Airport which killed seven, including five Israeli tourists, the Bulgarian bus driver and the alleged suicide bomber.

Bulgarian Touroperators Worried By Drop in Russian, Ukrainian Market

The Bulgarian touroperators are concerned by the possible drop of number of Ukrainian and Russian tourists this summer. 

According to Bulgarian-language Capital Daily, another reason, besides the tensions between the two countries, is the depreciation of the Ukrainian hryvnia and the Russian ruble to the Euro – with 46 and 20%, respectively.
