Greece says eight abducted as tanker stormed off Cameroon

Eight people were abducted and one person injured during an armed raid overnight on a Greek-registered tanker anchored off Cameroon, Greek authorities said on Tuesday.

Greece's shipping ministry said the 'Happy Lady' tanker was two nautical miles off the port of Limboh in Cameroon when it was stormed by individuals who were armed.

More than 42 People Died in a Landslide in Cameroon

At least 42 people have died in a landslide caused by heavy rainfall in Western Cameroon, local authorities said today, cited by the France Press.

There are reports of dozens more buried beneath the masses following last night's landslide in the western province of Bafoussam, where a rescue operation is underway, province governor Fonka Awa Augustine said.

Greek authorities are investigating the death of a 24-year-old man from Cameroon who was taken to a hospital from a sprawling refugee camp on the island of Lesvos.

Migration Minister Dimitris Vitsas said the cause of the man's death hasn't been established yet. He died after being transported from the Moria camp before dawn Tuesday.
