INACO: Romania, last place in EU for women representation in Government, similar percentage with Iraq, Bahrain

Romania has managed, in a single year, the most brutal international demotion, from the 102th place in the world, to the 175th place for women's representation in Government, said on Thursday, INACO (Initiative for Competitiveness) in a press release sent to AGERPRES.

Turkish-Canadian professor appointed to Order of Canada

A Turkish-Canadian senior public servant, lawyer and university professor was officially appointed on Dec. 30 to the Order of Canada, one of the country's highest civilian honors.

Yaprak Baltacıoğlu was Canada's first woman deputy minister of agriculture and served as a trusted advisor to four prime ministers before her retirement in 2018.

Greece, Israel agree on flight training center at Kalamata

Greece and Israel have reached an agreement, after five months of negotiations, for the transformation of Kalamata Airport in southern Greece into a flight training center.

The agreement was presented on Monday to the relevant parliamentary committee by Defense Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos.
