Croatia PM Urges NATO to Admit Montenegro
Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic underlined the importance of Montenegro's NATO membership for Croatia, at a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Zagreb on Thursday.
"This is something that interests Croatia, bearing in mind that Montenegro is a neighboring state and security in this part of Europe and the region is an important matter for us," the PM stated.

Romania, Croatia Badly Governed, Index Shows
Romania and Croatia are two of the worst governed countries in Europe according to a new study by the Bertelsmann Stiftung's Sustainable Governance Indicators project.
The platform surveyed 41 European and OECD countries in six sectors: economic, social and environmental policies, quality of democracy, executive capacity and executive accountability.

Extradited Paramilitary ‘Captain Dragan’ Arrives in Croatia
Former Serb paramilitary leader Dragan Vasiljkovic, known as Captain Dragan, arrived in Croatia after being extradited from Australia to face war crimes allegations.
Croatia to Help Fund Podravka's Global Expansion
The Croatian government on Wednesday increased its capital in the partly state-owned food company Podravka by 5.6 million euro.
In this way, Podravka will be able to release an additional 141,000 new shares on the market, helping it to raise the capital it needs to complete the full acquisition of the Slovenian food company Zito, after buying 51.5 per cent of its shares in April.

Outlook is Sunny For Croatian Tourism in 2015
Figures released by the Croatian National Tourist Board, HTZ, in its half-yearly report, show a significant upward trend.
In the first six months of 2015, 4.1 million tourists visited Croatia, which was 7 per cent more than in the same period in 2014.

Participation in Croatia parade to be "anti-Serb" - FM
Serbia is closely watching which countries will send their soldiers to a parade in Croatia on August 5 that will celebrate Operation Storm.
Serbia will interpret their participation in the event that will mark the 20th anniversary of the operation as an anti-Serb stand, Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said on Tuesday.
Croatian President Cool on Pusic's UN Bid
President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic's office on Monday clearly distanced itself from Foreign Minister Vesna Pusic's bid to become UN secretary general.
The President's office told BIRN that Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic had other priorities, saying that "there are major issues in Croatia, such as the economy and negative demographic trends, which must constantly be stressed.

War Crime Convictions Urged for Serbian Security Officials
In an appeal hearing on Monday at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, the prosecution asked for a reversal of the initial verdict on former state security officials Stanisic and Simatovic which found them not guilty of war crimes in Bosnia and Croatia during the 1990s.
Croatia Issues Arrest Warrant for Dinamo Chiefs
Croatian Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic told a TV show on Thursday that an internal arrest warrant had been issued for senior officials of the Zagreb football club Dinamo.
The main man in question, Zdravko Mamic, via a video link to the same TV show, called the minister a liar and said he was a victim of a political plot.

Bulgaria's President Begins One-Day Working Visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev will pay a one-day working visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina on July 3.
Plevneliev is to meet with Mladen Ivanic, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to take part in an international conference titled "Regional Economic Development and Cooperation," according to a media statement of the President's Office.
