President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has decried the recent Quran burning incidents in several European countries as hate crimes and acts of barbarism, expressing deep concerns over the "escalating Islamophobia in Western nations."
Istanbul Theater Festival announces program

The average age for a young Greek person to leave their family house is four years later compared to the rest of Europe, as shown in Eurostat's data for 2022.
On average in Greece, young people leave their parents' home at 30.7 years old. The rest of Europe's average is 26.4 years old.

Eurostat: Bulgarians leave their Parents' Home on average at the age of 30
Bulgarians leave their parents' home only after they turn 30.
The country ranks among the member states of the European Union with the highest average age according to this indicator - this is indicated by the latest Eurostat data for 2022, which were published today.
Global wind turbine sales rise
Orders for wind turbines were up in the first half of the year compared to 2022, after a rebound in purchases in North America and strong volumes in China, said a study published on Sept. 1.
Between January and June turbine orders for capacity reached 69.5 gigawatts, a 12 percent rise over in the first six months of 2022, according to research firm Wood Mackenzie.

Greece overall inflation low but food prices are soaring
Greece's Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices was confirmed to have risen 3.5% year-on-year in July, up from 2.8% in June, by the European Union's statistics agency Eurostat.
Despite the spike, Greek inflation is the sixth lowest among EU members: countries with lower inflation are Belgium (1.7%), Luxembourg (2%), Spain (2.1%), Cyprus (2.4%) and Denmark (3.2%).
