A 30-year-old man from the Dominican Republic charged with the murder of a 21-year-old Greek man outside a bar in Piraeus on New Year's Day Thursday was granted an additional day to prepare his defense.

The 30-year-old father-of-two, who is to face a prosecutor in Piraeus Friday, reportedly expressed regret for shooting the 21-year-old.

Massive 5.2 Earthquake Hits the Dominican Republic

An earthquake has hit the Dominican Republic this morning sending stunned locals and tourists into a frenzy.

The tremor had a magnitude of 5.2 on the Richter scale with the epicentre reportedly near the town Guayubin on the island.

The United States Geological Survey registered the depth of the quake at 8.7 miles.
