Bulgaria, Egypt to Co-organize Tourism Conference in Cairo
Tourism ministry officials from Egypt and Bulgaria and both countries' ambassadors are due to hold a conference on promoting bilateral tourism cooperation from Wednesday to Friday in Egypt's capital Cairo.
Syria, Iraq discuss tackling militants, urge cooperation
The foreign ministers of Syria and Iraq met in Damascus on March 24 to discuss ways to tackle militant groups and Syria said it hoped Baghdad would help "break the siege" against it, Syrian state media said, ahead of an Arab summit.

On March 18, 1915, British and French naval forces launched a campaign on Turkish positions in the Dardanelles. They failed. The date has been ingrained in my head since childhood. Every March 18, my grandfather Ömer Kemal, may God rest his soul, started the day by asking all of us the significance of the date.
