Portraying Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu from all angles

I am inspired by poet Hasan Hüseyin’s poem titled “Koçero,” where a bandit is depicted from the various points of view of many people, as a matter of fact, in a very effective style. I want to try a similar style where different people and segments portray the presidential candidate Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu. Here it is:

No surprise in initial reactions

The first reactions upon the nomination of Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu by opposition parties Republican People’s Party (CHP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) did not surprise me.

The ultranationalist wing of the CHP is reacting naturally. If you were to ask me if they would prefer a candidate who is bound to lose the election in advance, I guess they would.

A smart move: Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu

The opposition has selected its candidate: Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu...

Who is İhsanoğlu? Let us portray him:

His family is from Yozgat, he was born in Cairo.

His father is the best friend of Mehmet Akif, the poet of the Turkish National Anthem. His father was so close to Akif that he immigrated to Egypt with him.
