Deputy Prime Minister for Justice Reform and Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva will take part in a meeting of foreign ministers from the Visegrad Group and the countries of the Western Balkans, reported BGNES.

Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva will join today a meeting in Warsaw of the foreign ministers in the Bucharest B 9 format which includes NATO member states from Alliance's Eastern Flank: Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovaia, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

On a visit to Bucharest on Friday, Deputy Minister for EU Affairs Matti Maasikas reaffirmed Estonia's support for Romania joining the EU's Schengen area, ERR reported.

''Together with my Romanian counterpart, Teodor Meleşanu, we agreed that the enlargement of the European Union should continue with the Western Balkans and the Eastern Partnership countries, as it will guarantee the security and stability of the whole continent'', said the Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva. 

"For Poland and for the Baltic States, the Russian threat exists! NATO gives security." This was stated by Prime Minister Theresa May during a meeting with British soldiers in the Estonian military base Tapa, the Russian electronic edition Nation-news reports. According to the British Prime Minister, NATO troops are in Estonia to counter the Russian threat, FOCUS News Agency adds.

Bulgaria is not a risk to the eurozone and deserves to be in the "waiting room" because it meets all the criteria, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said at a meeting with European Council President Donald Tusk in Estonia, reports Sega.

At an EU summit in Estonia, she will seek to build a new security partnership with Brussels and offer UK expertise in combating cyber threats as Brexit preparations continue.

European Union states decided on Monday to close disciplinary procedures against Greece over its excessive deficit after improvements in Greece's fiscal position, confirming the country's recovery is on the right track.

EU states backed a recommendation by the European Commission to end the excessive deficit procedure.
