US Sending 3000 Troops to Baltics for 3-Month NATO Drills

Around 750 US Army tanks and other vehicles and military equipment are already in Latvia for the so-called "Operation Atlantic Resolve" exercises with NATO partners.

The drills will continue for three months, though a US military source quoted by various media outlets argues the equipment will remain in the region even after this period.

Moroever, the group says that “all major economies today have higher levels of borrowing relative to GDP than they did in 2007. The survey examines the most popular destinations for global retailers in 2015.

Bulgaria ranks 42nd out of 60, sharing a place with Qatar, Kuwait, and Estonia.

CIA: Bulgarian Population is Less Than 7 Million People

According to data published in the CIA World Factbook, Bulgarian population has dropped below 7 million people.

The data was refering to the middle of 2014, and showed that Bulgarian population in fact amounts to 6,724,716 people. According to the CIA website, the information has been gathered based on population census, migration processes, life expectancy and others.

Unemployment Registered Slight Drop in Bulgaria in January

Bulgaria registered an unemployment rate of 10.8 % in January, but still remains above the EU average of 9.8 %.

This became evident from the latest figures of Eurostat, which were released on Monday.

The figures show that the unemployment rate in Bulgaria steadily decreased in the past year from 12.6 % in January 2014.

EU Commission Warns Bulgaria on Implementation of Three Directives

The European Commission made three demands towards Bulgaria in terms of complying with the legislative norms of the Union Thursday.

The representative organ has requested from the Bulgarian government that an explanation is provided in three sections: driving licences, railway transportation safety and field crops disease management.
