Bulgaria’s President to Attend Arraiolos Group Meeting on Sept 29-30
Bulgaria's President Rosen Plevneliev will take part in the 10th informal meeting of the Arraiolos Group in Braga, Portugal, on September 29-30.
The meeting will bring together the heads of state of Portugal, Austria, Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Hungary, Finland, and Bulgaria, according to the press office of the Bulgarian President.
45% of Bulgarian Pensioners Still Working – Eurostat
Some 45% of Bulgarian pensioners continue to work, the European Union's statistics office Eurostat has claimed.
In 2012, the year for which latest EU labor market statistics were available, about 15% of all employed Bulgarian pensioners continued working mainly for financial reasons, while less than 10% did so mainly for non-financial reasons such as job satisfaction.
Bulgaria Calls on Russia to Free Estonian Official
Caretaker Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov has said he is seriously concerned with the abduction of Estonian police official Eston Kohver on September 5, 2014.
In a statement, he has called the incident "a violation of international law on behalf of the Russian Federation".
The Foreign Ministry is calling on Russia to immediately release Kohver and secure his return to Estonia.
