Serbia bested by France in bronze medal game
The men's national team of Serbia fell short of winning the bronze at EuroBasket 2015 after being outplayed by France 81-68 (16-16, 21-16, 21-12, 23-24) Sunday.
Serbia's basketball players missed not only the chance to book their tickets for the Olympic Games 2016, but were also left short of the medal at this championship.

Spain beat Lithuania (80-63) to claim 3rd Euro basketball trophy
Spain is the European basketball champions for 2015 after convincingly beating (80-63) the surprise package of the tournament Lithuania in the final played at the Lille Pierre Mauroy stadium in France, Sunday. It is the 3rd trophy for the European giants, with NBA superstar and European legend Pau Gasol finishing the match with double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds.
EU leaders congratulate Tsipras
European leaders and officials have congratulated Alexis Tsipras on his party’s election win. Sunday night. French President Francois Hollande, Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann and President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz contacted Alexis Tsipras after the announcement of Sunday night’s results.

Sofia Registers 5.7% More Tourists in January-June 2015
There have been at least 485 200 tourists arriving in Bulgaria's capital Sofia over the first six months of this year.
This is 5.7% up compared to 2014, official data shows.
Some 284 000 of them were non-Bulgarian citizens, while the rest came from the country, the Bulgarian News Agency reports, citing a state-owned tourism company.
Refugee activists in France ask for EU-UK to open borders
Nearly 2,000 refugee activists in France marched to protest against the EU and UK’s policies of closed borders. Their protest march ended at the Calais Channel, where 10 refugees had lost their lives on June 10.
EU official sees aid to keep migrants in Turkey
A senior EU official on Sept. 19 spelt out plans to encourage people fleeing war in Syria to stay in bordering countries rather than join the flow of migrants to Europe.
In a visit to a migrant reception centre on the Macedonian border, European Commissioner Johannes Hahn said the European Union faced several tasks.
