Der Spiegel: Merkel and Juncker want “concentration camps” for 50,000 refugees in Athens
German news source, Der Spiegel, has an exclusive reportage of plans to transfer refugee hotspots from the islands of Lesbos and Kos to a large center in Athens that would fall under the jurisdiction of Frontex and the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR). The plans are based on the fact that the Greek border islands cannot handle the influx.
Balkan countries threaten to close borders if Germany does
Bulgaria, Serbia and Romania said on Oct. 24 they would close their borders if Germany or other countries do the same to stop refugees coming in, warning they would not allow the Balkan region to become a buffer zone for stranded migrants.

Reintroduction of Border Controls by Germany, Austria Complies with Schengen Rules - EU Commission
The European Commission has concluded that the initial reintroduction of controls at internal borders by Germany and Austria are in compliance with the Schengen Borders Code.
The same holds true for the subsequent prolongations of border controls, the EU executive body said on Friday.

Germany defends export of tanks to Qatar
Germany defended on Oct. 23 a decision to allow the export of tanks and artillery to Qatar, saying it was confident the arms would not be used in a war in Yemen between government supporters and the Iran-allied Houthis.
The newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung reported on Oct. 23 that four German Leopard 2 tanks and three howitzers had recently been shipped from Germany, bound for Qatar.
