Weather at the suspected site of the crash of AirAsia Indonesia's aircraft has improved enough on Friday to allow the deployment of two ships carrying acoustic equipment to detect the ‘pings' from the plane's cockpit voice and flight data recorders, international news outlets reported. 

Bodies, debris found as AirAsia plane believed found in sea

The hunt for a missing AirAsia passenger plane appeared over Dec. 30 as wreckage and dozens of bodies were spotted at sea off Indonesia, prompting raw scenes of emotion from sobbing relatives of the 162 people aboard.
      
The Airbus A320-200 disappeared en route from Indonesia's second largest city Surabaya to Singapore during a storm early Sunday.
      

Body found in sea search for AirAsia: Indonesian search and rescue

 A body was found in the sea Tuesday during the search for missing AirAsia flight QZ8501, Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency chief said.
     
"At 13:25... we spotted a floating object believed to be one of the passengers' bodies," Bambang Soelistyo said at a press conference.

Debris is 'from AirAsia plane': Indonesian civil aviation chief

Debris spotted Tuesday during an aerial search for AirAsia flight QZ8501 is from the missing plane, Indonesia's director general of civil aviation told AFP.
      
"For the time being it can be confirmed that it's the AirAsia plane and the transport minister will depart soon to Pangkalan Bun," Djoko Murjatmodjo said.
      

AirAsia shares lose 8% in Malaysia after jet disappears

Shares in AirAsia, Southeast Asia's biggest budget airline, lost almost eight percent in Kuala Lumpur on Dec. 29 after one of its jets disappeared with 162 people on board.
      
The firm slumped 12 percent to 2.60 ringgit at the open but recovered slightly to sit at 2.71 ringgit, still down 7.82 percent, at 0600 GMT.
