President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on April 9 said Turkey would "help Kyrgyzstan in the fight against FETÖ," referring to what the authorities call the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), widely believed to be behind the July 2016 coup attempt.

BELGRADE - Serbian and Kyrgyz FMs Ivica Dacic and Erlan Abdyldaev on Tuesday signed an agreement between their governments on abolition of visas.

At a joint press conference, Dacic announced he would pay a visit to Kyrgyzstan to mark 20 years of diplomatic ties with the country.

These countries promised to meet international and European standards to block tax evasion until 2019.

In a set of measures passed by the Economic and Financial Affairs Council, made up of the economy and finance ministers of all EU states, it's made clear that Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro have accepted the European Commission's request.

Dacic told a joint news conference after the signing of the agreement that Kyrgyzstan is a great friend of Serbia, and that, in line with this, cooperation between the two countries needs to develop further.

Dacic also announced he would travel to the Central Asian country next year, for the June 25 marking of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

The European Commission has confirmed that it has evaluated proposals for the revocation of summer time, reports mediapool. 

The Daylight Saving Directive has implications for transport and energy. We appreciate the proposals received and we will announce our conclusion when we are ready, a commission spokesman said on Friday, quoted by mediapool.
