World extends condolences over deadly floods in Turkey

Turkey on Aug. 13 received condolence messages from around the world because of deadly floods in the Black Sea region that have claimed dozens of lives.

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov extended his condolences to his Turkish counterpart, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, for the natural disaster, according to the Presidential Press Center.

"I called him several times in the evening, but his phone was out of reach," she said. "Finally, my son located his iPhone. We found his car parked with a flat tyre at around 3.20 in the morning. The doors were open. His jacket, glasses and two mobile phones were inside."

CNSU updates list of high epidemiological risk countries; Greece, Ireland, Monaco enter red zone

The National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU) on Thursday adopted Decision No 52 on updating the list of countries/territories with high epidemiological risk, with Greece, Ireland, Monaco entering the red zone, and France, Belgium, Israel, the USA, Iceland and Honduras entering the yellow zone.

On Thursday, the National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU) updated the list of countries/territories depending on the cumulative incidence rate of COVID cases, in order to establish the need for a quarantine measure being enforced on the persons arriving to Romania from these countries, with UK, The Netherlands, Cyprus, Spain, Portugal being in the red zone.

Romania updates list of countries in COVID-19 red, yellow, green areas

Romania's National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU) updated on Friday its list of countries or areas with high COVID-19 epidemiological risk. "The classification of the countries/areas by the cumulative rate of COVID-19 cases in order to sort the persons arriving in Romania accordingly and subject them to quarantine is hereby approved," reads CNSU Decision 39.
