Turkey knocked out of Eurobasket
The Turkish national basketball team has been handed a heavy defeat by host France at Eurobasket 2015, bidding farewell to its dreams of a podium finish, or at least an Olympic berth.
Roared on by a record-breaking indoor crowd in Liile on Sept. 12, France thrived on home support as it thumped Turkey 76-53 to reach the quarterfinals.

EC Prez. Juncker proposed number of refugees per each EU country
European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker speaking at Strasbourg Wednesday called on EU member states to receive a portion of the refugees currently in Greece, Italy and Hungary, by presenting a proposal with the number he believed should be relocated to each country. According to the Commission’s estimates there are currently 54,000 in Hungary, 50,400 in Greece and 15,600 in Italy.

Bulgaria Records 0.5 % GDP Growth in Q2 - Eurostat
According to the latest estimates of Eurostat, which were released on Tuesday, the GDP of Bulgaria increased by 0.5 % in the second quarter compared to the first quarter of 2015.
This is slightly above the average GDP of the EU, which increased by 0.4 % compared to the previous quarter.

The top ranking male tennis player of Bulgaria - Grigor Dimitrov will not compete for the country's team in the vital play-off against Hungary for the Davis Cup.
