VP of the European Commission: Bulgaria can Adopt the Euro on January 1st 2025
"The possible date for the adoption of the euro in Bulgaria is January 1, 2025," the Vice-President of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis, told Nova TV.
MAT: January and February inflation in Serbia lower than in six EU countries
BELGRADE - January and February y-o-y inflation in Serbia was higher than EU inflation, but also lower than in six individual EU member states, according to the latest issue of the Makroekonomske analize i trendovi (MAT) monthly, published by the Belgrade Institute of Economics and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia.

Bulgaria has the Highest Death Rate in the EU
With 1,787 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, Bulgaria has the highest mortality rate in the EU in 2020, reported the European Union's statistical agency Eurostat.
Bulgaria is followed by Romania (1,622), Hungary (1,513), Lithuania (1,482) and Latvia (1,445).

Greek inflation eases to 6.5% in February
Greece's annual European Union-harmonized inflation rate fell to 6.5% in February from 7.3% in January, Eurostat said in its flash estimate on inflation trends on Thursday.
This was the fourth lowest rate in the eurozone last month.
