Child dies after being rescued along with 59 other Syrian migrants off Cyprus

One of the five children who were hospitalized in Cyprus after being rescued from a rickety boat along with 55 other Syrian migrants has died, an official said Thursday.

The migrants, who were rescued early Wednesday by Cyprus police, apparently ran out of food and water after sailing on the boat from Lebanon for six days, officials said.

Police confirm body washed ashore of missing girl in Antalya

The police have confirmed that one of the nine bodies washed up on the southern coasts of the country is that of an 18-year-old girl who went missing for approximately two weeks.

The Israeli army bombarded Khan Yunis, the new epicentre of the war in Gaza, on Monday as the families of hostages held by Hamas urged  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach a deal to secure their release.

Witnesses reported deadly strikes overnight in Khan Yunis, the largest city in southern Gaza, and fierce fighting between Israeli soldiers and Hamas militants.

Iran Guards hit 'terrorist' targets in Iraq, Syria

Iran launched a barrage of ballistic missiles at positions occupied by "terrorist groups" in Syria and Iraq on late Monday, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement.

State media reported that IRGC destroyed a "spy headquarters" and a "gathering of anti-Iran terrorist groups" in Syria with ballistic missiles.

Rockets Fired From Gaza Into Southern Israel

Rockets were fired last night from Gaza towards southern Israel.

In response, the Israel Defense Forces said they had destroyed two missile sites in central Gaza.

A tunnel shaft with explosive devices was also destroyed, killing several "terrorists" in Khan Yunis.

Palestinian news agency Wafa reports attacks on Gaza City with 20 killed.
