Diyanet gathers intelligence on suspected Gülenists via imams in 38 countries
Turkey's Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) has gathered intelligence via imams from 38 countries on the activities of suspected followers of the U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen, widely believed to be the mastermind of the failed July 15 coup attempt.
Sofia to Host European Homeless Cup Next Year
Bulgaria's capital Sofia will be the host of the European Homeless Cup's next edition in the spring to come, a year ahead of schedule, organizers say.
Initially, the year announced was 2018, but the Austrian city of Graz insisted the championship should go there to mark the fifteenth anniversary of the first Homeless World Cup, of which it was also the host.

Serbia to play Turkey, Russia in EuroBasket group stage
ISTANBUL - The Serbia men's national basketball team was on Tuesday drawn to play Turkey, Russia, Latvia, Belgium and Great Britain in Group D of EuroBasket 2017 in Istanbul.
The draw ceremony was held in Istanbul, which will also host the final stage of the competition.

NATO Training To Take Place in Lithuania
Lithuania will host NATO training sessions with the participation of about 4,000 soldiers from 11 countries from the alliance, reported TASS.
Iron Sword training will continue until December 2 and no Bulgarian soldiers will be taking part in it.

Nicosia at risk of breaking EU budget rules
Cyprus and five other countries are at risk of breaking European Union budget discipline rules with their 2017 draft budgets, the European Commission said in a statement on Wednesday.
The five other countries are Belgium, Finland, Italy, Lithuania and Slovenia.

BELGRADE - Prosecutors at the International Criminal Court said they have "reasonable basis" to believe the United States committed "war crimes" by torturing prisoners in Afghanistan, RFE/RL reported.
EU agrees to set up rapid reaction force
