Election Bureau: 161,054 Romanians from abroad voted in Sunday's presidential polls
As many as 161,054 Romanian voters turned out to the presidential ballot on Sunday, according to the figures received by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) from 294 polling stations set up abroad by 8 a.m. on Monday.

BELGRADE - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide a EUR 200 million stand-by loan to Serbia's Deposit Insurance Agency in order to reinforce the stability of the country's banking sector.

BRUSSELS -- The European parliament (EP) has elected with 423 votes in favor and 209 against the new European Commission, headed by Jean-Claude Juncker.
Juncker, a former Luxembourg prime minister, will replace Jose Manuel Barroso. The EU's executive body will take office on November 1.
