SYDNEY - Serbian tennis player Viktor Troicki has failed to qualify for what would have been his third consecutive final at the Sydney ATP tournament after losing 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) to Gilles Muller of Luxembourg in Friday's semi-final.

Troicki won the tournament twice in the past two seasons.

POLICE in Belgium are probing the death of a high ranking NATO official after his body was discovered in his car with a gunshot wound to the head. According to reports, Yves Chandelon, the 62-year-old auditor general of NATO was found miles away from both his home and office.

European Union foreign ministers on Nov. 14 criticized Turkey's crackdown on alleged supporters of a failed military coup in July, but Austria's call to suspend Ankara's EU membership bid failed to garner enough backing. 

Bulgaria's national football team scored a victory over Belarus with 1:0 on Sunday evening in a 2018 World Cup qualifiers game in Sofia.

Belarus was a tough opponent after a win on Greece earlier this week.

Within their group, both teams are considered outsidets.
