Greek drivers prone to parking violations, speeding
Illegal parking and speeding are the offenses to which Greek drivers appear most prone to this summer. Indeed, one in four inspections by the Traffic Police found an infringement, with Crete leading the way.
PPC Renewables to build energy storage facilities
PPC Renewables has been chosen by the Waste, Energy and Water Regulatory Authority to build and operate two energy storage facilities with a total capacity of 98 megawatts (MW).
The two storage facilities will be built in the region of Western Macedonia, near a PPC steam-electric power plant and where PPC Renewables is building photovoltaic arrays.

Elevated fire risk in five Greek regions
Five regions in Greece will be at very high risk of fires on Saturday, based on the Fire Risk Forecast Map issued by the General Secretariat of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection.

Bulgaria: Parts of Sofia will remain Without Hot Water until August 10
Due to planned repair activities of "Bulgartransgaz" on the transmission gas pipeline - North DN 700 in the section of "Gorni Bogrov" - "Novi Iskar" until August 10, the supply of natural gas to TPP "Sofia", Heating Plant "Zemlyane" and Heating Plant "Lyulin" has been temporarily suspended.

VRANJE - North Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski said during a visit to Serbia's monastery of St Prohor Pcinjski on Wednesday he hoped the good tradition of celebrations of Ilinden - North Macedonia's greatest national holiday - would be continued at the monastery, the "place where the Macedonian republic was formed."

Vui stated that the reconstruction of the monastery was done.
Pendarovski laid a wreath at the memorial fountain in the gate of the monastery.

Pilot transferring of jobless from one region to another
A pilot program to transfer unemployed workers to areas they are needed during winter will be introduced by DYPA, the Greek employment agency, Labor and Social Insurance Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Open TV on Monday.
