President Iohannis: In mid-October, 120 Romanian troops, four helicopters will start their mission in Mali

President Klaus Iohannis said on Wednesday that 120 troops and four helicopters will start in mid-October their mission in Mali in support of the UN effort to assist the Malian Government. "Romania participated and still participates in United Nations peacekeeping operations covering countries all over the world, from Afghanistan and Sudan to Georgia and Haiti, and now in Mali.

"As early as of December, the average salary will amount to 500 euros"

He said in an interview for daily "Blic" that the increase in the public sector would follow from the November salary, which is paid in December.
"Talks with the IMF are currently underway, and we are encouraged by a budget surplus of RSD 46.6 billion in August," Mali said.

Mali: Rise in salaries and pensions till the end of year, pension rise on January 1st

According to the finance minister, public sector employees can expect their salaries to rise by the end of the year.
Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said in an interview for RTS that the pensioners would receive a once-off payment of 5,000 dinars by the end of year, while the pension rise can be expected from January 1, 2020.
